When a company has several payments in different parts of the process, it’s important to understand the meanings of every payment status. This will help with comprehension and efficiency.
Pending:
If a transaction’s status shows “Pending,” it means the transaction is still awaiting network approval to be processed.
Succeeded:
If a transaction’s status shows “Succeeded,” it means the payment has been accepted and approved for processing.
Failed:
If a transaction’s status shows “Failed,” it means the transaction did not meet the requirements to process the payment.
Settled:
If a transaction’s status shows “Settled,” it means the transaction has finished processing and the money has been transferred to the merchant's bank account.
Refunded:
If a transaction’s status shows “Refunded,” it means the transaction has been refunded to the credit card or bank account of the customer.
Partially Refunded:
If a transaction’s status shows “Partially Refunded,” it means a portion of the payment has been refunded to the credit card or bank account of the customer.
